New Forest Deer Safari

Going on a safari normally conjures up images of Africa, but you don’t need to look so far away to experience stunning scenery and rare animals.

Burley Park Farm is an oasis for native wildlife and is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the traditionally shy and elusive Red Deer.  We have our own herd of Red Deer but on occasion we are visited by the rarer Fallow Deer; all the Deer have come to accept our tractor and trailer that carry our visitors around the safari and happily graze in close proximity to our visitors often coming over to the tractor for a closer look on the hunt for some tasty treats such as red currants and strawberries which we harvest from our farm. 

There are 3 types of Safari offered from the park.

Group Tractor Tour

Take a ride on our tractor drawn trailer where you can enjoy a fantastic elevated viewing position to take in the scenery, fresh air and the deer.  Deer safaris by tractor and trailer run daily on the hour from midday throughout the school summer holidays

£3.00 per person

Please note:
there is no need to book and that we run throughout the summer holidays from midday to closing at 5pm (so last safaris tends to be around 4pm). We also do safaris on bank holiday weekends. Large groups, please contact us.

Party and event Bookings

We welcome group bookings for educational tours or private site hire for parties.  To really get close to nature you are welcome to stay in our Wigwams and Log cabins!
